Trade Policy:
I transcribe mostly tenor sax jazz solos and also look for transcribed ones. My transcriptions are most of them digitized (a few are in Encore). Some TS players transcribed: Hank Mobley, Dexter Gordon, Coltrane, Joshua Redman, Michael Brecker, etc. I believe (better yet, I know for a fact) that transcribing makes me one a better musician (ear training, ear sensitivity for different players, styles, etc..) so I give my transcriptions for free (although they gave me a lot of work) because it's one's choice on how to evolve. If you want to get stuck in the same place for years, just borrow transcriptions! If you want to grow transcibe yourself and ask for help when you need! I expect the same from other musicians (if you don't make living out of transcribing of course!) Andy |
