Ernesto Cortázar was a Mexican composer, arranger, and pianist, born in Mexico City and who died in Tampico, Tamaulipas. He was the son of composer, Ernesto Cortázar, founder and president of the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico. At the age of 13, Ernesto Cortázar lost his parents in a car accident.
