John Cheetham, Professor of Music Theory and Composition at the University of Missouri/Columbia, was born in Taos, New Mexico, and holds the Bachelor of Fine Arts and Masters of Music degree from the University of New Mexico as well as the Doctor of Music Arts in Composition from the University of Washington.
